One of the Barossa’s most loved food and wine destinations, El Estanco, has reopened with a bigger premises.

Owners and chefs Abby Osborne and Julian Velasquez, pictured, have spent the past nine months renovating an 1890s property opposite their original site, on Murray St, Greenock.

“The new site will offer the same intimate settings and unique style that our customers know and love, but we’re also able to include a bakery, coffee roaster, market garden, kids’ nature play area, wood-fired pizza oven and an area for larger events and gatherings,” Abby says.

El Estanco, first opened in 2016, specialises in South American flavours. Chef Julian’s daily lunch menu includes caballa asada (Atlantic Mackeral with sherry, parsley and fennel) and tira di asado (asado-fired beef ribs). Pizzas will be served every second Friday night.

18-22 Murray St, Greenock, 8-4:30pm daily, open late Friday and Saturday nights.
